Who We Are
The Rescue & Support the Helpless Foundation (RESH) is a human development and humanitarian organization based in Nigeria. Since its establishment in 2010 under the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) umbrella, RESH has grown from a small, self-help initiative into a national foundation serving people across all six geopolitical zones.
RESH focuses on communities that are often overlooked—remote villages, informal settlements and conflict-affected areas—providing integrated solutions in health, education, livelihoods, peacebuilding and protection.

History & Founder
The foundation is led by Apostle Chibuzo Chinyere Gift, a humanitarian and development advocate who has worked with various national and international actors. He currently serves as Executive Director and Chair of the Board of Trustees, alongside professionals from different backgrounds who share a passion for serving the less privileged.
RESH was initially set up to alleviate the suffering of the poor and less privileged through practical, community-led support. Over the years, its life-saving and development programmes have supported people from diverse ethnic, religious and social backgrounds across Nigeria. In 2025, the organization adopted the name Rescue and Support the Helpless Foundation (RESH) to reflect its expanded scope and nationwide ambition, with headquarters in Port Harcourt and an extension office in Abuja.

A Nigeria where every individual—regardless of location, background or circumstance—has equal access to healthcare, education, livelihood opportunities, protection and the chance to live with dignity and fulfil their potential.
Mission:
To improve the quality of life for vulnerable Nigerians by delivering free healthcare, quality education and comprehensive humanitarian and development support, with a special focus on women, children and underserved communities, through inclusive, sustainable and locally-driven interventions.
